AHG Troop OR-0613 was established in June 2013.  Our troop is made up of girls from the areas surrounding East Portland.

When does your troop meet?

We meet during the school year (Sept – June) on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Troutdale. Our meeting place and chartering organization is Harvest Christian Church, 624 SW Halsey St., Troutdale, OR 97060. There are no meetings on  the last Monday of every month.  There are occasional events scheduled throughout the year.

What ages may join?

All girls ages 5 to 18 are welcome.  Kindergarten applicants must be age 5 to enroll. 

Can we join at any time?  

New members may join at any time during the year.  However, we recommend enrolling in September or January to help your girl acclimate as easily as possible with their units. 

What are the costs involved?

Send us an e-mail at jacquiv@harvestworld.com for details. Typically, it's not more than $140 for a girl to join for the first time. Depending on her grade, she will have her uniform for a set number of years. The handbook will last her from grades 1-12. 

Are scholarships available?  

Limited scholarships are available.  Ask the Troop Treasurer for an application form.

Will snacks be provided at meetings?

No.  Please make sure your child has eaten before arriving.

How can parents be involved?  

Parent volunteers are strongly encouraged as it is how we function best. Registered adult volunteers must agree with and stand by AHG's Statement of Faith and be able to pass a background check. We'd love to find a role for you that fits your schedule and gifts. 

Do you have to be Christian to join?

No.  Although AHG is a faith-based organization, we welcome girls of all faiths, creeds and backgrounds.
